The National Alliance for Recovery Residences is an organization that aims to educate on sober living homes while also providing support for those running them. One of the ways it has done so is to create what it calls a recovery residence — a single term that represents transitional living. Each Review Hope House has a dedicated house manager whose responsibility is to ensure the well being of the house occupants.

They offer a higher level of focus on social support, giving you someone to talk to and help you. They also provide the same types of services most sober homes do, such as helping you to make it to 12-step meetings and teaching you life skills. A sober home or sober living home is a type of location you can live for a period of time after completing rehab. These locations do not provide specific addiction treatment, so you should continue to see your outpatient counselors for this.
